My Dyno Numbers are in

Well I went up to Redmond to meet up with Mike Price of Microsoft today and did the sound recordings they wanted for a new game their putting together. As a bonus they did a dyno run for me, the results were as I expected: 132.8 hp @ 7750 and 93.1 torque @ 7250 rpms or 152.7 hp with 107.0 torque @ the flywheel, pretty close to the stock fiqures without a tuneup (new plugs, rotor, cap and wires) and all the belts on/running (power steering alternator and A/C) for a 10 year old engine. Also we found out that the thermosat is bad which makes the fiqures a bit lower then they should be along with a bad out of round tire. After doing this I can see that the factory specs on the engine are on the conservative side by Honda.

Thanks Ed, no not selfish, didn't know anybody else wanted to take some time off work and drop by. Not looking for more power, but it would be nice if I could keep the same gas milage I'm getting now of 33+ hwy. By the way it was kind of nice to get a chance to do this, a great change of pace for me. This was the second time they had contacted me by the way, so I just had to do it this time.

When I was talking with Mike he was working on having Dustin from the Portland area come up and do the same thing with his car. At this time he was only looking for DOHC sols, sorry man. If I hear anything else from him I'll be sure to post it up here for everyone.

Hey geo, what was the name of that game you had your car in? Im interested, cause once its out, i'll have to pick myself up a copy of it, not many games now adays have del sols in them its a shame.

They didn't tell me, but my name will be in the credits for it (I had to sign a non-disclosure statement, so even if I did know I couldn't tell anyone). Also I will be getting a copy free of it when it comes out, plus he's sending/mailing me the sounds from my engine testings/runs with them.
